Help Slipper meet Flip-Flop in this cooperative game for two to four players.
Setup: Slipper and Flip-Flop start at opposite ends of the small board, with Flip-Flop at the finish and Slipper at the start. Put the fish tokens in the water, then distribute one to each player (two each if there are only two people playing). Slipper’s other bird friends start in their nests on the small board. Each player chooses a penguin friend of a different color and lines up at Start.
Gameplay: Players take turns rolling the die and advancing to the correct color space, traveling clockwise around the board. Each time they pass start, they get another fish token. You want to land on spaces that have Slipper’s face because each time you do, Slipper moves one step closer to Flip-Flop.
But look out! Some spaces have challenges on them that can make you stuck, like having to eat food that’s meant for other birds or trying to build a nest in a tree, things that are difficult or impossible for penguins to do. If you land on a challenge space, one of Slipper’s well-meaning bird friends swoops in and lands by you, telling you that “It’s not that hard.”You or another player can use a fish token to get un-stuck. Using a fish token takes your turn and makes Slipper’s bird friend return to their nest so that you can move around the board again.
The game ends when Slipper meets Flip-Flop at the finish line. Work together to help her get there!
Adults can use features of the game to educate about neurodivergence, accommodation, acceptance, and asking for help.
If you lose a piece, no problem! My GameCrafter store has individual pieces available for sale so that you can keep playing.
Telehealth version is also available in my TeachersPayTeachers store.
The physical board game is $64.99 plus shipping. The telehealth version is $5 with immediate download available.
Please be aware that GameCrafter prints on demand, so they create your game only when you order it. This means it can take up to six weeks from when you placed your order for the game to ship. If you are ordering for a birthday, holiday, or other special occasion, plan accordingly.
Thank you to everyone who has been on Slipper’s journey with me!”
